We’re a portrait studio specializing in babies, children and families located in Nashua NH. You’ve just read our formal mission statement. Here’s the story behind it and why, for us, this is precisely what we ALWAYS strive for.
I’m Gail Morello, owner and principle photographer of Pixel Perfect. Years ago when my son first started playing sports he focused on baseball and I started obsessively photographing him and his teammates during games so that we could remember everything. One year he joined a competitive team, a group of very talented kids who played baseball throughout the year in tournaments in New England and even in other parts of the country. I photographed pretty much every game and at the end of the year I created a slideshow. I worked really hard to make sure that I captured the important moments in each and every player’s year. I picked music to accompany the video that fit every section of the show perfectly. I used state-of-the-art software to integrate some of the most amazing special effects. It was truly a labor of love.
At the end of the baseball year the team held a reception to thank the parents and volunteers and recognize the accomplishments of all the players. The highlight was the slideshow. After dinner, the lights dimmed and the show played. It lasted around 30 minutes and truly covered the entire year. There were wonderful highs and heartbreaking lows through the year and the show captured pretty much most of them, culminating with a great win in the last tournament of the year.
The show was, it turned out, very emotional. So much so, that when the show finished and the lights came on there literally was not a dry eye in the house. Every parent (I mean EVERY parent) was in tears. The standing ovation went on and on. I was completely taken aback by the tidlewave of emotion and the degree of the response. I was overwhelmed by how much my work had touched everyone there. This was such a powerful experience that, I knew that touching people’s lives was something that I wanted to do with my life’s work.
I eventually decided that, in terms of photography, I loved portrait work better than sports photography and working with babies and chldren in particular. Now, many baby and child photographers “discover their love of photography” taking pictures of their own children. However, it takes more than love and natural talent to be a successful professional photographer. It takes years of study, attention to detail, infinite patience and the ability to deliver consistently high quality products and service. Our clients call us because they know they can count on us to deliver an intensely personal service, a unique line of portrait products and imagery that touches their heart.
Every time a parent tells me that they love what we do, everytime someone cries tears of joy at a portrait session or a viewing, every time someone tells me that I have captured more than what they were looking for, I never take it for granted. It means everything to me. “Bringing joy to the heart and soul’ is our life’s mission, why we have infused this into every aspect of our studio and with everyone who joins our team. This is why, when you join our studio family, touching your heart with the images we create and the service we provide is more than words on paper – it is quite literally my life’s work and what I was meant to do, what we at Pixel Perfect all strive for every day and with every single client.
