There is a hotel in Vancouver that changes the rug in their elevator every day. What’s on the rug? For those of us who have a hard time remembering what day it is, they’ve put the day of the week on the rug. This could come in handy for me because not a day goes by that I don’t wonder what day it is! Although, it sure would mess me up if someone forgot to change it one day. For those of you with boys who are either approaching or smack in the middle of potty training – this sounds like a really good read. It’s pretty short at 120 pages. Highly recommended by Parenting Magazine: Potty Training Boys the Easy Way.

Here’s a book written by Canadian psychologists and parents Isabela Granic and Mark Lewis that looks like a good one: Bedtiming: The Parent’s Guide to Getting Your child to Sleep at Just the Right Age. This book is a simple, sensible, and reassuring guide that will help children—and parents—get a good night’s sleep. No reviews at Amazon yet but I have seen some really good endorsements!
